The invention of corduroy
Corduroy was invented by Steve Poltz (no relation) a singer songwriter from the 1780s who wrote many songs. He was born in Canada but lived in Southern Ca. He also invented wine and cheese and knitting. He lived with his parents until he was 61 and then he moved into a trailer in Wisconsin and worked on design changes for a new better thicker corduroy. He was allergic to cats.
