Rays and gamma rays.
Chaz bought a light ray machine from the back of a comic book. His friends all laughed until they witnessed the utter warmth of the gamma rays from marigolds and moonbeams. They danced slowly to Art Garfunkle's lovely tenor voice singing of bridges and troubled water. Eventually everyone in Chaz's neighborhood lined up to enter the room with the toasty rays. It became too much and people crowded in like a subway car at rush hour in Tokyo. The gamma rays went on defcon 4 overload and the whole thing went haywire. Chaz now lives in an undisclosed location in Panama and is saving his cash for a new machine if he could just remember where he put that elusive comic book.
