Apple pie and Elkton and now Portland tonight
This beautiful apple pie was made for me by Marty Tomaselli of Tomaselli's Pastry Mill in Elkton, Oregon.
He made it for me as trade for this hat I bought in Kansas.
But the real kicker is that his lovely wife Dayna (whose name I forgot last night. Sorry Dayna) doesn't really like the hat or the idea of Marty sporting it all over town. He wore it all night during my show and then gave it back. So now I have apple pie AND the hat. I feel like The Red Sox vs The Padres in the deal that's going down with the trade of Adrian Gonzalez. Obviously I'm The Red Sox in the deal. My poor Padres. Yikes. But yay Elkton. We had a grand time at Brandborg Winery last night. If you click on to their website you'll see some recent press they got in The New York Times. They're becoming famous for their vino.
Tonight! Mississippi Studios in Portland. This is my final Oregon show for a spell and it promises to be a good one with Anya Marina sharing the bill with me. If you're anywhere near I suggest you drive or hitch but don't miss it.
See ya tonight amigos!
I'm going to miss Adrian Gonzalez
